SALE- $2.97 @ JC PENNYS

JC Pennys is having their clearance sale. Lots of tops marked down 70-80% to $2.97. Sweet. I ended up getting a she said... black cardi with cute lace ruffle trim, a purple/grey plaid tunic, a black sweater and a black 3/4 sleeve tee. Nothing too exciting since I'm in a funk, but shopping the sales non the less.

I think I might have "stolen" someones stash though. The shesaid... cardi was not where it should have been, it was stuck in the petite section mixed between some random stuff, but I took it anyways. Sorry Lady.

Hopefully work will start to slow down and it will stop snowing and I will get some time to take pictures. I know this post is useless without pictures....

SIMPLE

Cardi- JCP; $5.99
Shirt- JCP; $5.99
Pants- Limited; $24.99
Shoes- Alfani; $50.00

Geesh, I'm starting to see a pattern here.... or lack of pattern here.

I really need to start wearing more patterns!!! I do like basic clothes, but sometimes a girl has got to break out of her rut. Ever since I had my 2nd child and my body looks NOTHING like it did pre kids, I have been trying to "blend in." I have been sticking to the basics WAY too often. That being said I LOVE these shoes. They remind me of a pin up girl. They are a slingback in the prettiest red color.
I tried this outfit with a grey snakeskin belt from Banana Republic overtop the cardi, but I just don't feel comfortable in that look. I LOVE it on other people (esp in the blogging world), but don't feel as if it suits me.

BUY 1 GET 1 FREE!

NY & Company was having a "Buy 1 get 1 FREE" sale on all of their pants on Friday. Normally I hate NY&Co pants b/c even their low rise is too high for me (damn short torso of mine), but I had bought a pair of their Boyfriend capris a couple weeks ago and they were perfect for me. I figured they would make great "track" pants, so I ended up getting 4 pairs (2 kahki & 2 grey/blue). I was $2 short of my coupon of "$30 off $75", so I threw in a beaded bracelet for my daughter at $2.99. Jackpot.

I'm sure you are wondering why I am considering these capris "track" pants. Well my step son (who is 8.5) races dirtbikes, and I spend about 30 weekends out of the year at the Motocross track. Yes, I said "weekends" as in all day both Sat & Sunday!! We are ouside all day and of course it is dirty & dusty & muddy & all the elements you can think of. It will ruin any clothes you wear out there. So I have seperate "track" clothes for the family. After a couple times wearing a thte track they all seem to have a yellowish dinge to them, or stains. Mosttimes I really don't care about the kids clothes since within 5 min of us being there they are already filthy. Clothes that I don't mind getting ruined, those are "track" clothes to me.

IN A RUSH GO TO OUTFIT

Sweater- Worthington via JCP; $5.99
Skirt- Ann Taylor Loft; $12.99
Shoes- Report via BCF; $15.99

I was in SUCH a rush this morning I just grabbed the first thing I saw without much thought, but you can never go wrong with a pencil shirt and heels. I would have preferred some necklaces or a belt, but there is nothing I can do about it now. I did like the cowl neck top with the skirt and I did recieve a couple compliments on the borning outfit which was nice.

CLASSIC BLACK, WHITE & RED

Dress- Marshalls; $18.99
Tank- Old Navy; $5.00
Shoes- Report via BCF; $15.00

You can't go worng with wearing black, white and Red. I normally wear this dress with my retro red pumps, but I was dashing out of the house and picked the first shoe I could find.

During my lunch break today, I ran down to get another color of that sweaterdress below since I loved it to much. Well now it was 75% off, and $18. I had another 15% off coupon, but it expired 2 days earlier so I couldn't use that and since this was the last dress in my size I just got it.

GREEN DRESS

Since I needed something to start this blog off, I am going to have to do a retro post.

On 01/13/10 I got this dress from JC Pennys. It is the Aylx Waffle bodice sweater dress in a great Kelly Green color with 3/4 sleeves. Origionally $70, red tagged to 19.99, and with an additional 15% off coupon was mine for $18.42 (after tax of course.) What makes this deal even more juicy is that the dress is still on the JCP website for $34.99 on clearance!

I loved this dress SO MUCH that I ended up wearing it the very next day. It is cold in MD, so I paired with the dark brown leggins and tan suede knee boots. The boots have a cute little bows on the ankles.
Dress- Aylx- $18
Leggins- Burlington Coat Factory- $5
Shoes- Amanda (Macys circa 2006)- $42

JUST GETTING STARTED

Hi everyone...or no one. I've been into reading blogs lately and thought I would give it a try. My personal style has been in a slump lately and I am hoping this blog will hold me more accountable for my outfits as well as my shopping habits. It is only a steal of a deal if you actually wear the item, right!?!!
I am obsessed with "sales" and rarely will pay full price for clothing. I work in a Mall so I know when every store has their sales and can be the first one to pick over the racks. There is something for getting a $150 jacket on sale (and with a coupon!!) for $25 that gives me a high for the rest of the day.

Now that I have 3 kids, it is more important then ever to snag these deals as *my* shopping budget has been reduced to clothing the whole family and not just myself. My dear husband had confiscated all my plastic around 2 years ago after the birth of my son, so I rely only on my disposable budgeted "shopping" portion of my income.

I wear Business Casual Monday-Friday, and a mix on the weekends. I will try to take daily pictures of my outfits, but with my very busy schedule please have some paitence with me.
